About the Project
This project is game software that has brought traditional game into the desktop. This software provides the platform to play Baghchal. The making of this Nepalese traditional game is my first opportunity in the field of game-making.
Baghchal is one of the famous strategic game of Nepal. The game consists of two players one is played as tiger and other as goat. There are twenty goats and four tigers in this game.
Scope
Since this is traditional nepali game, this project can help to flourish nepali game outside the country. This software will be capable to entertain the nepali young people who have no idea about this game which will help them to learn their culture. It can be one of the popular strategic games like chess. Since the board/map of the Baghchal can be made according to the users want, it will be more interesting and fun playing which this project might help to bring in computer gaming to the world.
Features The features of this project are as follows:
ü This project is developed in dotNet framework using WPF application in C# language.
ü This software provide necessary interface to play Baghchal. It provides all the necessary information regarding the status of player while playing. So, it can be played by anyone who has basic knowledge about the computer.
ü This game can be played by keyboard and most important and beautiful part is there are multi cursor features that make more users friendly. Users can use two mouse separately for individual player.
ü It has sound effect while playing.
Limitations
The limitations of this project are as follows:
ü It requires dotNet Framework and Windows Installer.
ü There is only one map to play.
ü User cannot change the color and image of the cursor. If it could, it would be more interesting and interactive.
ü There is no menu and program is not in a form so it was somewhat difficult to provide more appropriate interface to user.
ü After starting the game mouse cannot be remove and add again.
Further Enhancement This project can be made better adding more features.
ü We can add many maps to play the game with the same rules.
ü It will also be better if the icon i.e. tiger and goat could be change which is appropriate to users.
ü Animation like movement of the tiger and goat could be added that would make more interesting.
ü If player could choose the curser image and color it would be more user friendly.
ü The game could be made in 3-D graphics.
